The Israeli military attack has devastated the built and natural environments in Gaza.

Palestinians continue to suffer from Israel’s brutal attack on Gaza – thousands dead and tens of thousands more injured.

One of the most intense bombing campaigns since World War II will leave not only a legacy of grief for the people of Gaza, but also lasting physical damage to the environment.

Sanitation and water treatment systems were destroyed.

Thousands of bombs supplied by Israel and the West are polluting the air and soil.

The war leaves a new layer of toxic chemicals on Gaza’s soil, adding to those left behind from the many wars Israel has fought before.

Can Gaza recover?
