Military and strategic expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi confirmed that the video broadcast by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – confirms that the Palestinian resistance’s attack tunnels are still active.
On Thursday, the military media affiliated with the Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast scenes – obtained by Tel Aviv Tribune – of what it said were clashes and the targeting of Israeli occupation soldiers and vehicles penetrating the Gaza City frontiers.
Al-Qassam’s video shows – according to Al-Duwairi – that despite the continuous Israeli bombing on various areas of the Gaza Strip, the tunnels are still serving the purpose for which they were created, as one of the fighters emerged from a tunnel opening and targeted an Israeli vehicle.
He said that the Palestinian resistance used a directed charge against individuals, and a voice was heard in the video saying: “Direct it” so that it is at the right angle, confirming that this charge was taken from some types of Soviet and American mines.
Regarding the distance from which the resistance fighters targeted the two Israeli tanks, Al-Duwairi said that the effective and effective range is 130 metres, and in order to ensure a fatal hit on the “Merkava 4” tank, it must be a close distance, indicating that the resistance fighter was hiding in one of the buildings and was able to seize the Israeli tank.
The beautiful thing about it – the military expert continues – is that one of the fighters targeted the first tank and the second targeted the second tank, which means that with the two “Al-Yassin” bombs, which cost hundreds of dollars, two tanks were destroyed, including a cost of 6.5 million dollars.
Al-Duwairi also pointed out – in his daily military analysis on Tel Aviv Tribune – that the area targeted by the Palestinian resistance is considered a rear and safe area for the occupation forces, as not a square meter is safe for the occupation in Gaza.
On the other hand, the military expert confirmed that the Al-Qassam video documentation confirms that the fighters accomplished the mission and returned safely to their positions.
