Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Tuesday that it had carried out a series of operations against Israeli sites, including a drone attack on a military headquarters, while the Israeli army said it had bombed sites belonging to the party in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah said that it targeted, with a strike march, the newly established 91st Command Headquarters of the Israeli forces in Illit, northeast of Safed, and that it hit its target accurately, according to a statement published by the party.

The party also announced that its fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Zarit barracks opposite the town of Marwahin in southern Lebanon, leaving them dead and wounded.

The party also targeted the Al-Summaqa site in the occupied Shebaa Farms, and also bombed with missiles a gathering of soldiers in the vicinity of the Al-Marj site.

By evening, Israeli Channel 12 reported that rockets fired from Lebanese territory had fallen near Margaliot in the Upper Galilee.

On the other hand, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that Israeli drones targeted the outskirts of the towns of Blida and Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon.

Israeli aircraft also launched a raid between the towns of Yaroun and Bint Jbeil, while Israeli artillery bombed the outskirts of the towns of Hula, Markab, Aitaroun, Alma Al-Shaab, Al-Dhahira, and Tayr Harf.

The Israeli army said in a statement that it bombed military sites and infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the town of Yaron, southern Lebanon. It also announced that it had monitored the launch of two anti-tank missiles from Lebanese territory towards the town of Shlomi, adjacent to the border.

For its part, the official Lebanese News Agency reported that the Israeli army carried out a sweeping operation with machine guns around the Al-Abad site and the outskirts of the town of Houla from the eastern side close to the site.

The agency reported that Israeli artillery targeted olive groves in the Wazzani area with a number of shells, and the outskirts of the town of Tayr Harfa and the Sidana hills area between the towns of Shebaa and Kafar Shuba.

The agency reported that the forests of the town of Labouneh and Wadi Hamul on the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Al-Shaab, and the area between the towns of Al-Dhahira and Al-Jebain were subjected to intermittent artillery shelling, amid the flight of Israeli reconnaissance aircraft.

The Lebanese Hezbollah entered into a confrontation with the occupation forces following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza. Mutual bombardment on both sides of the Lebanese border has escalated since then, until it has become described as the most dangerous confrontation on this front since the 2006 war.
