Hezbollah Secretary -General Naim Qassem warned that Lebanon and its resistance to an existential threat is the largest threat to the country, and expressed the party’s refusal to hand over its weapon to Israel.
Qasim said, during a memorial organized by Hezbollah on Friday to the leader in its ranks, Ali Abdel Moneim Karaki, known as Hajj Abu Al -Fadl, that the resistance was unable to prevent Israel from continuing its aggression against Lebanon, but it was able to stop it at the end of the agreement that the Lebanese state signed with Israel, and it became obligatory for Israel to withdraw from Lebanese territory and stop its aggression.
He added, “I mean, we surrendered to this stage, the Lebanese state, because it is the officially responsible, but rather the resistance was confronted when the state was not present. When it announced that it was present, and the conditions became favorable on our part and from the state to do this work, the state received this responsibility.”
“We are facing a danger called Israel and America, and in front of a problem called exclusive weapon at home. When we are in front of a danger and a problem, we address the danger and then go to the problem, we do not go to the problem and the danger is upon us all. The aggression and confront the aggression are the most important problem facing Lebanon.”
He asked about the reasons for the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon despite the agreement, and said that there is a draft new agreement presented by America, and that its only justification is to disarm Hezbollah in all of Lebanon.
Israeli demand
He continued, “The question: Why do you want to disarm Hezbollah?
Qasim explained that the texts of the new agreement presented by America include demands for the disarmament of the resistance in exchange for some Israeli partial withdrawals and at varying times.
“We do not surrender and Israel will not receive arms from us,” said Hezbollah Secretary -General.
He emphasized that repelling the Israeli danger lies in the survival of the force of resistance and cohesion between it and the Lebanese state.
“We, like Hezbollah and the movement of hope and resistance, we, as a sovereign line that wants to independence of Lebanon, we who believe that Lebanon is a final homeland for the Lebanese, we are the ones who consider that our sons must live in this country, dear, generosity, head of the head, we feel that we are facing an existential threat, an existential threat to resistance and the environment of resistance, supporters of resistance, and an existential threat to Lebanon in all its sects.”
The Secretary -General of Hezbollah stressed that repelling this danger is in the survival of the power of the resistance, and the cohesion between it and the state “and all the Lebanese parties cooperated to pass this stage, by implementing Israel to the agreement.”
Qasim called for pressure on America, France and the United Nations, and the sponsors of the ceasefire agreement, to remove Israel from Lebanon and force it to implement the agreement.
