Hezbollah bombs northern Israel, says it’s first response to Tuesday-Wednesday massacre | News

Hezbollah announced that its bombing of Israel since last night was in support of Gaza and an initial response to the “brutal massacre committed by the Israeli enemy in various Lebanese regions on Tuesday and Wednesday.”

A statement by the party indicated that “the Islamic Resistance bombed the military industries complexes of the Rafael company, which specializes in electronic means and equipment, and is located in the Zevulun area north of Haifa, with dozens of Fadi 1, Fadi 2, and Katyusha missiles.”

Former reserve major general and security specialist Jack Naria commented on the bombing of Israel, saying, “Hezbollah is not firing rockets at this area in vain. It has a precise target bank and wants to target Rafael.”

In the same context, the Israeli Channel 13 reported that Hezbollah is focusing on security and economic sites and facilities, and there is damage, especially in the Haifa and Krayot areas, and this is the first time since August 2006.

Israel Hayom newspaper reported that the army estimates that Hezbollah will continue to fire rockets in the coming days without expanding the scope of the targeting.

Israeli political analyst and Arab affairs specialist Yoni Ben Menachem pointed out that “Hassan Nasrallah has not changed his position regarding stopping the fighting in the Gaza Strip and has not changed his mind,” noting that Israel will be forced to escalate military operations in Lebanon in order to exert additional military pressure on him to accept a retreat.

Injury and fires

On the other hand, Israeli Channel 12 reported that Hezbollah missiles targeted the Ramat David military base south of Haifa, and the firing of hundreds of missiles during the last hour led to the injury of 3 Israelis near the city of Krayot. A number of people were also injured as a result of several missiles falling in the southern Golan, according to the Israeli Walla website.

Maariv newspaper quoted the Israeli ambulance as saying that there was one injury in the Lower Galilee as a result of Hezbollah missiles, while it stated that there were no injuries as a result of the shelling of the Yokneam and Afula areas and the Ramat David base.

On the other hand, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that some residents of the Kiryat Tiv’on settlement said that the shelters in which they tried to hide were closed.

Israel Hayom reported that firefighting teams were working to extinguish a fire that broke out near Migdal HaEmek, likely caused by interceptor missile fragments. The Marj Bin Amer Regional Council also said that a rocket had caused the fire in the area between Kfar Rauch and Yokneam.

Hezbollah has escalated its missile attacks on northern Israel and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights by firing dozens of rockets, some of which targeted the Ramat David air base, while the occupation army confirmed that it intercepted most of Hezbollah’s rockets amid Israeli readiness for a wider war.

Suspension of studies

On the other hand, the newspaper Israel Hayom said that the Haifa Municipality decided to cancel school today, Sunday, in a number of towns southeast of the city, where sirens sounded today.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority also said that it was decided to cancel studies in Acre, Tiberias, Nahariya and Safed following the bombing of the north.
