Hebrew media: We demand a deal now, and Israel has been moving from one tragedy to another since October 7 News

The issue of the return of Israeli detainees held by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip dominated the Israeli media’s coverage and discussions of the war.

The families and relatives of these detainees insist on the need for the Israeli government to initiate a comprehensive deal to return the detainees, while analysts and experts believe that Israel has been moving from one tragedy to another since last October 7.

According to what was reported by Israeli media channels, demonstrators demanded a deal to return the detainees, and chanted, “A deal now, not tomorrow and not the next day. Their lives are in danger.”

While Danny Elgart, the brother of one of the detainees, said, “We are receiving coffin after coffin, body after body, and bad news for everyone.” Ruby, who is the father of one of the detainees, called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to talk to the people and explain to them any deal offered for negotiation. “No.” To wait for the United States of America or Yahya Sinwar or whoever will present a proposal.”

Lior Peri, the father of one of the detainees, also expressed his belief that the only useful way to liberate all detainees is through negotiations only, and warned that his son would return in a bag if the government did not do what he asked of it.

On the other hand, Israeli media channels hosted analysts and experts who discussed the repercussions of the war on the Gaza Strip, especially the issue of detainees. Channel 12 quoted lawyer Uri Slonim – a former advisor for prisoners and missing persons affairs – as saying, “I think we should propose, or rather we should not suggest, but rather that We put all the prisoners on a bus and take them to the border and tell them to take them and return all the kidnapped ones to us tomorrow morning.”

As for Professor Yossi Shin – a specialist in international relations at Tel Aviv and Georgetown University – he saw that the Israeli reality is completely distorted in terms of awareness, and he said, “We are receiving dead kidnapped people, we are receiving dead soldiers as a result of their search for bodies, and we are receiving 10 soldiers from the Golani leaders who were killed.” “This week in the mouth of a tunnel.”

The Israeli analyst added, “At the end of the week, we are receiving a terrible tragedy, which is the killing of kidnapped people by mistake, and other things,” stressing that Israel “has been moving from tragedy to tragedy since October 7,” referring to the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle launched by the resistance. The Palestinian attack in the Gaza Strip on Israel included a land, sea and air attack and the infiltration of resistance fighters into several settlements around the Gaza Strip.
