Data published by websites and news agencies during the past few days indicated that at least 19 Israeli soldiers were killed and more than seventy others were injured on the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon fronts since the beginning of this June.
The worst death toll for the Israeli army was recorded in one day during the first half of June, yesterday, Saturday, after eight soldiers were killed in a bombing that targeted a troop carrier in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
According to the official figures that Israeli military censors allow to be published, since the start of the Israeli ground attack on the Gaza Strip following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7th, 658 Israeli soldiers and officers have been killed, including 306 in the ground battles that began on the 27th of the same month.
Data also indicate that 3,835 officers and soldiers from the occupation army were injured since the beginning of the war, including 1,936 in ground battles.
The following is an inventory of the human losses announced by the Israeli army since the beginning of this month:
- June 5: A soldier was killed in a drone attack launched by Lebanese Hezbollah on a gathering of soldiers in Hurfish.
- June 6: A soldier was killed in an armed clash behind the lines from Rafah.
- June 8: An officer in the Al-Yamam Special Unit was killed during the operation to recover the four Israeli prisoners from the Nuseirat camp area.
- June 10: 4 soldiers were killed and 6 wounded, including an officer, in an ambush in a booby-trapped building in central Rafah. Israeli Army Radio reported that the soldiers were killed as a result of an explosion that occurred in a building in the Shaboura neighborhood in Rafah. For his part, the military correspondent of the Times of Israel newspaper said that seven soldiers were injured in the explosion, including five seriously.
- June 11: 10 Israeli soldiers were injured within 24 hours.
- June 12: 29 Israeli soldiers were injured within 24 hours.
- June 13: The Israeli army admits that two soldiers were injured as a result of a rocket-propelled grenade attack from Lebanon.
- June 13: 11 Israeli soldiers were injured in Gaza within 24 hours.
- June 14: 10 Israeli soldiers were injured within 24 hours.
- June 15: 8 soldiers from the Engineering Corps were killed in the bombing of an armored personnel carrier in Rafah. The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades saidThe military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (agitation), the armored vehicle got stuck inside a pre-prepared minefield, which led to the explosion. In turn, the Israeli army said that the eight soldiers were killed northwest of Tal al-Sultan in the Rafah area.
- June 15: Two soldiers were killed in the detonation of an explosive device in a tank in the central Gaza Strip.
- June 15: A soldier died from his wounds in the bombing of a bomb-laden building in Rafah on June 10. He is a fighter in the Givati Brigade.
- June 16: A soldier was killed during the fighting in Rafah.
