“He was saved from under the rubble.” A child asks his father about his mother and siblings | Programs

Tel Aviv Tribune’s camera monitored the rescue of a child trapped under the rubble following the violent Israeli bombing on a series of homes in the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The father grabbed his son – who was covered in blood – immediately after he was rescued by civil defense crews, and kept repeating, “Thank God for your safety, my father,” before the son asked his father about his mother and siblings, to which he replied that they were fine and in good condition.

The son insisted on his question and demanded that his father not hide the truth from him, and told him: “Do not lie to me, I am upset with you.” The father responded by asking his son to repeat, “God suffices me, and He is the best disposer of affairs.”
