Occupied Jerusalem- A child no more than 15 years old was arrested under the cover of darkness, and taken to the interrogation basements, where there was torture, threats, and intimidation, then to the depths of the prisons, where there was lack of food, beatings, pain, and skin diseases.
He is the child Zain Sharha from Shuafat Camp, east of Jerusalem, who was released last Friday after 7 months of detention.
The boy narrates his experience to Tel Aviv Tribune Net, and how exposure –Despite his young age- He tied his hands and feet, and beat him all over his body, leaving his fingers broken and bruises all over his body.
He was subjected to interrogation and severe beatings, to the point of being kicked in the sensitive area of his body, which caused him to urinate blood for several weeks, according to his testimony.
As for his charge, it was throwing stones, which he says is not true and has no evidence, which made the investigators pressure him to confess, saying: “I confessed under pressure. They threatened to imprison my father, brothers, and mother if I did not confess. They threatened to prevent my father from dialysis sessions.”
Regarding prison conditions, he added that the children were subjected to “suppression” in reference to the armed prison forces attacking the prisoners inside their rooms and subjecting them to severe beatings, the effects of which are still on the body and limbs of the Jerusalemite child.
Zein pointed out that he and the rest of his fellow child prisoners were infected with scabies, a skin disease that spreads and becomes contagious if not treated immediately, adding that they were deprived of treatment and bathing, and were prohibited from using detergents.
