“Happy Christmas in captivity.” Al-Qassam’s message to Netanyahu sparks interaction on platforms | News

The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – had previously published a video clip entitled: “Happy Birthday in Captivity” as a “congratulations” to an Israeli soldier who was captured in 2014. The social media audience expected that this step would ignite the internal The Israelis against their government.

Abu Ubaida – spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades – announced the capture of Israeli soldier Shaul Aron in 2014 and said: “If the enemy leadership can lie about the numbers of dead and wounded, it must answer its audience about the fate of this soldier now.”

At that time, Israel denied the news, then counted Shaul among the dead soldiers, only to later classify him as missing, and that there were non-stop efforts regarding the issue of missing soldiers in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam wrote in Video No. 9, referring to the length of time Shaul spent in captivity, saying: “Nine years of neglect and suffering.”

The video was accompanied by a classic song about the mother by Israeli singer Zohar Arquf, along with pictures of the soldier’s mother.

Al-Qassam also reminded of the two prisoners: Private Hadar Goldin, a second lieutenant in the Givati Brigade in the occupation army, who was captured in 2014, and the pilot, “Ron Arad,” who went missing in Lebanon after his plane was shot down about 35 years ago. Israel was unable to obtain information about his fate.

Al-Qassam sent a message to the families of the Israeli prisoners entitled: “Your suffering with Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet begun.”

Social media fans interacted with the clip published by the Al-Qassam Brigades about the Israeli soldier, and some of their tweets quoted the episode (12/28/2023) of the “Shabakat” program.

Widad said that the Israelis want to liberate those who were detained in 2023, and they have not yet reached those who were detained for 9 years.

As for another tweeter named Ahmed, neither force nor intelligence has located Saul, and Netanyahu claims that he can reach the prisoners in days or weeks… “a paradox that will ignite the Israeli interior against their incapable government.”

As for Paula, she wondered: Is there any evidence that soldier Shaul Aaron is alive, and what efforts has Israel made to recover him over all these years?!
