Hamas: There is no stability in the region without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state news

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed, through Political Bureau member Bassem Naeem, that the region will not witness stability or prosperity without the Palestinian people achieving their legitimate rights, most importantly the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Naim called for immediate international intervention to stop the genocide crimes committed by Israel since October 7, 2023, and to implement International Resolution 2735.

UN Security Council Resolution No. 2735, which was approved on June 10, stipulates a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army from it, the exchange of prisoners, reconstruction, and the return of the displaced.

Despite the issuance of the Security Council resolution to end the aggression immediately, Israel ignored the resolution and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to stop the genocide and improve the humanitarian situation in the Strip.

Naeem said in a statement that what is happening in northern Gaza in terms of targeting medical and civil defense personnel constitutes a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law, as Kamal Adwan Hospital was attacked, and a number of personnel were arrested and killed.

The Hamas movement described the recent massacre in Beit Lahia as an embodiment of one of the ugliest forms of genocide and forced displacement in the modern era, and stressed that this crime comes within a series of ongoing massacres against the Palestinian people in northern Gaza.

The local Al-Aqsa channel reported earlier that the Israeli army targeted a residential square consisting of 5 inhabited homes in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in a number of Palestinian martyrs and wounded.

The movement held Washington and the capitals that are complicit with the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the ongoing crimes in the northern Gaza Strip, saying that these capitals support Israel and grant it immunity, which leads to the continuation of the massacres against the Palestinians without any international action to stop them.

Hamas pointed to the international community’s surrender to the “criminal” positions of the US administration and its silence in the face of Israel’s attempts to force the residents of the northern Gaza Strip to forcibly leave their homes, and considered that this silence holds the international community historical responsibility for the ongoing genocide against hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in northern Gaza.

The movement called on the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world and the free people of the world to rise up in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza, stressing that the steadfastness of the Palestinians will thwart “all the criminal plans of the occupation.”

Since October 5, the Israeli army has begun an unprecedented bombardment on Jabalia camp, the town of Beit Lahia, and large areas in the northern Gaza Strip, causing massive destruction and forcing residents to forcibly displace.
