The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that the continuation of what it called attacks by the authorities’ agencies requires a serious stance from the Palestinian people, the factions and the leadership of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), following clashes between resistance fighters and the Palestinian security services in the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank.
Hamas added – in a statement – that the security services’ continued arrest of resistance fighters and persecutors, the latest of whom is Ahmed Abu Al-Ayda, is “a dangerous transgression and a new blow to the national and societal fabric.”
The movement explained that these practices, which it described as heinous, come in conjunction with “the continuation of the war of extermination against our people in Gaza and the West Bank,” and called on all factions, forces, and legal and human rights bodies to stand up to the practices of the authorities, because of their “dangerous repercussions.”

Hamas also called on the leadership of the Palestinian Authority to immediately and completely stop its “persecutions and attacks, to stop the hand of its agencies against our resistance and our people, and to expedite the release of political detainees.”
Hamas indicated that “the continued attacks by the authorities on our people portend a dangerous level of dealing with national issues,” after sources confirmed to Tel Aviv Tribune – yesterday evening, Friday – that a young man was injured and his injuries were described as serious in clashes in Tubas between resistance fighters and the Palestinian Authority security services.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades had previously called for lifting the siege on the fighters of the Tubas Brigade, whom it said were being besieged by Palestinian security, while the Islamic Jihad movement condemned the Authority’s security pursuit of the resistance fighters in Tubas and other areas of the West Bank.

Palestinian news website platforms reported that violent clashes took place between the resistance and the Palestinian Authority security in Tubas, following the arrest of the commander of the Tubas Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades, Ahmed Abu Al-Ayda, who is being pursued by the Israeli authorities, with the Authority security carrying out a daily arrest campaign.
These sources added that the security services arrested a number of young men in the old market area in Tubas, coinciding with the continuation of armed clashes, and detonated explosive devices prepared by the resistance to the occupation, while Tel Aviv Tribune contacted the security services – earlier – to take its story, but they refused to comment.
