Today, Sunday, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the “deliberate” targeting by the Israeli occupation army of a technical team from the Palestinian telecommunications company “Jawwal” while working in Gaza, which led to the martyrdom of two of the company’s employees.
The movement said in a statement, “The Israeli occupation targeted a technical team from the telecommunications company in Gaza, despite the team receiving prior coordination for this.”
She added that this “deliberate targeting is a heinous war crime, and an act of treachery that proves the bloodiness of this Nazi occupation, which does not adhere to covenants or obligations.”
The movement stressed, “This crime is in addition to the crimes of cutting off communications from the entire Gaza Strip, and the crimes of preventing water, food, and medicine, and all that increases the suffering of our people.”
She called on “human rights institutions to document this crime, to condemn and prosecute the criminal occupation army and its Nazi leaders, who incite murder and extermination against our Palestinian people.”
On Saturday evening, the “Jawwal” company announced that two of its employees were killed while working to repair the communications network, by direct Israeli targeting in the southern Gaza Strip, as the second day of the company’s services to the Strip passed.
It is noteworthy that Jawwal is the largest provider of cellular communications and Internet services in the Gaza Strip, and the exclusive provider of fixed communications services there.
On Friday, communications and Internet services were cut off in most parts of the Gaza Strip, the ninth outage since October 7, 2023.
Since last October 7, the Israeli army has launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 23,000 martyrs and 60,000 wounded.
