Hamas says that Israel has rejected the ceasefire ceasefire releasing all the captives in Gaza | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

Abu Obeida says that there will be no guarantee of return to partial agreements if Israel is again leaving the negotiation table.

Hamas’ military wing spokesman said ISRAEL had rejected a cease-fire agreement that would release all the captives held in Gaza, and promised that the group is prepared for a long war if there is no contract.

Abu Obeida, the longtime spokesperson for Qassam brigades, said in a pre -recorded video of almost 20 minutes published on Friday that the group had proposed in recent months a “full agreement” which would release all the captives at the same time – but it was rejected by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his two rights.

“It has become clear to us that the government of the criminal Netanyahu has no real interest in captives because they are soldiers,” he said, adding that Hamas promotes an agreement that guarantees the end of the war, a withdrawal of Israeli forces and the entry of humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinians.

If Israel withdraws from this series of indirect talks held in Qatar, said Abu Obeida, then Hamas does not guarantee a return to partial agreements, including a 60 -day agreement currently under discussion which would see 10 captives released.

Hamas still holds 50 people in Gaza, around twenty of whom are alive.

Speaking during a dinner with legislators at the White House on Friday, American president Donald Trump said that 10 other captives would soon be released from Gaza.

“We have recovered most hostages. We will have 10 others to come very soon, and we hope it ends quickly,” said Trump without providing details.

The American chief said for weeks that a ceasefire and a captive agreement was imminent, but nothing has materialized.

In his first video message since the beginning of March, Abu Obeida also said that Hamas fighters were “ready to continue a long attrition battle” and would maintain ambushes through Gaza in order to kill or capture pervasive Israeli soldiers.

He also criticized the leaders of the Arab and Islamic nations for their inaction in the face of the “genocide” committed by Israel, saying: “Your necks are overwhelmed by the blood of tens of thousands of innocent people who have been betrayed by your silence.”

The comments arise while the talks in Doha have led to no result because Israel insists on maintaining and expanding military control over Gaza, including the Morag corridor and the new Magen Oz corridor which separate Rafah and Khan Younis respectively in the south of the rest of the enclave.

While soldiers continue to block humanitarian aid to the besieged population and kill hungry Palestinians on controversial GHF sites, Israel is also progressing with plans to build a concentration camp on the ruins of Rafah despite international criticism.

Friday, at least 41 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces, confirmed medical sources in Tel Aviv Tribune.

The latest figures from the Gaza Ministry of Health show that more than 58,667 Palestinians were killed and 139,974 others wounded since the start of the war in October 2023, including at least 7,843 killed and 27,993 injured since Israel interrupted the last cease-fire in March.

The ministry added that a “unprecedented” number of hungry people of all ages, including children, arrive in the emergency services of the few hospitals left partially in Gaza in a state of exhaustion and extreme fatigue.
