Hamas says it is looking for a sustainable ceasefire and a complete Israeli judgment, rejecting the conditions for its withdrawal from Gaza.

Hamas proposed to release all the remaining captives in the Gaza Strip in “One Go” in exchange for a sustainable truce and a complete withdrawal from the Israeli army of the besieged enclave.

In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem described the group’s vision for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement which includes the proposed exchange.

“We are ready for a second phase in which prisoners will be exchanged in one go, in the criterion of the end of an agreement which leads to a permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal of the band,” said declared Qassem.

The group also rejected the Israel call for its disarmament and withdrawal from the band.

“The state of the occupation of the elimination of Hamas from the Gaza Strip is a ridiculous psychological war, and the withdrawal or disarmament of the resistance of Gaza is unacceptable,” added Qassem.

Qassem also discussed the group’s decision to increase the number of captives to be released during the next exchange on Saturday from three to six. The decision was announced by the head of Hamas, Khalil al-Hayya, one day earlier in an apparent offer to accelerate the implementation of phase two of the agreement.

“The doubling of the number of prisoners to be released was made in response to a request from the mediators and to prove our seriousness in the implementation of all the conditions of the agreement,” said Qassem in the Wednesday press release.

The proposal comes after US President Donald Trump spoke out against the progressive weekly release of the captives taken in Israel, and after the families of those who remained in Gaza asked everyone to be released together.

Israel “could not defeat Hamas”

The acceleration of the implementation of the agreement has also been drawn up trade for mobile houses and the construction equipment of Israel in the devastated Gaza Strip.

The Israeli forces continued to seal the vital edge passages closed in all its genocide, preventing the entrance to basic supplies, as well as the reconstruction materials.

Last week, Hamas threatened to retain the press release, citing Israel’s refusal to authorize mobile houses and heavy equipment, among other violations of the agreement, including attacks on the Palestinians.

The Gaza Ministry of Health has confirmed 48,291 deaths in the War of Israel against Gaza, while 111,722 people were injured. The government’s media office has updated its number of deaths at least 61,709 people, saying that thousands of Palestinians who disappeared under the rubble are now presumed dead.

The reconstruction of Gaza could cost $ 53.2 billion, according to a report published Tuesday by the World Bank, the United Nations and the European Union, including around $ 15.2 billion for housing.

Marwan Bishara, Tel Aviv Tribune’s main political analyst, said the “biggest problem” would not be the first phase, but phase two or three of the ceasefire agreement.

He said Hamas and Israel have tried to take the high morale, with their captive and prisoners exchanges.

“The problem for Israel is that despite the top, it is unable to defeat Hamas,” he said. “But we are there and Israel dictated the process – when and where help between. And as long as these alternatives of housing do not penetrate, it makes things difficult for the Palestinians.”

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas entered into force on January 19, after more than 460 days of war. Since then, Israel has violated the agreement on several occasions, its leaders discussing the possibility of an imminent return to the fighting to all in Gaza and the far -right ministers of the Netanyahu cabinet which even pushes military occupation of the ‘enclave.

Since the agreement, a total of 1,135 Palestinians have been released from Israeli prisons. Israel is expected to publish 502 more Palestinians this week. After last week’s transfer, the number of captives published by Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic jihad has reached 25 since January 19.
