The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) stressed on Friday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claim that the ratio of civilian casualties to fighters in the Gaza Strip is one to one is a blatant deception to cover up his crimes.
It confirmed that the vast majority of the martyrs were civilians, women and children who died in the bombing of areas that the Israeli army claimed were safe.
Netanyahu claimed that the ratio of civilian casualties to combatants in Gaza is approximately one to one, which is the lowest in modern urban warfare, according to his description.
In statements reported by Israeli Channel 14, Netanyahu claimed that the Israeli army went further than any other army in history in trying to avoid civilian casualties.
He added that Israel would quickly achieve victory over Hamas, and would deter any future war with Hezbollah if it obtained the weapons it needed, as he put it.
He stressed the need for sustainable disarmament in Gaza, saying that this is “something that no party except Israel can do.”
Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza with absolute American support, leaving more than 123,000 martyrs and wounded, in addition to thousands of missing people.
Israel continues its war despite two UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of the city of Rafah, take measures to prevent acts of genocide, and improve the miserable humanitarian situation in Gaza.
