The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) considered the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of an aid distribution center in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), a “crime of genocide.”
The movement explained in a statement that the Israeli occupation forces bombed the center in the presence of a large number of citizens, most of them women and the elderly, while they were waiting to receive some aid, which led to the death and injury of about 40 citizens.
She added that the bombing is “a Zionist crime that comes within the framework of the ongoing genocide, and in implementation of the so-called generals’ plan to displace our people, which the Nazi entity seeks to implement against our people in the northern Gaza Strip.”
She continued, “This barbaric bombing of a UN facility and (the occupation’s) disdain for killing civilians, and continuing to target dozens of UN headquarters and facilities in the Gaza Strip, is a Zionist disdain and an insult to the international community and the United Nations.”
The movement called for “urgent international action to stop the terrorism and aggression of the Zionist entity, which threatens international peace and security, with its crimes and terrible violation of international law and all humanitarian and international norms.”
Yesterday, the government media office in Gaza called for opening a safe corridor “immediately and truly” to save the health system in the northern Gaza Strip, which is “going through a catastrophic and unprecedented situation” due to the occupation army’s aggression.
For 12 days, the occupation army has continued a campaign of extermination and starvation against the Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip, intensifying raids and shooting, destroying and burning homes, and preventing the entry of food and medicine.
On October 6, the Israeli army announced the start of its invasion of the northern Gaza Strip for the third time since the beginning of its aggression against Gaza, under the pretext of preventing the Hamas movement from regaining its power in the region, while the Palestinians confirm that Israel seeks to occupy the region and displace its residents.
