The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) denied the information published by the Israeli Channel 12 yesterday, Saturday, and the movement provided details about the circumstances of the assassination of the head of its political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The movement said in a statement on Sunday, “Hamas denies the lies spread by the Zionist occupation regarding what it claimed were the details of the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, the martyr Commander Ismail Haniyeh, which he said was carried out by a bomb planted in his room inside the official Iranian guesthouse where he was present.” In the Iranian capital, Tehran, during his official visit to participate in the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian.

She pointed out that the investigations carried out by the movement through the joint committee between its security services and the Iranian security services concluded that the assassination was carried out by a guided missile weighing 7.5 kilograms of explosives that directly targeted the mobile phone of the martyr Haniyeh.

Hamas considered that what was published by Israeli Channel 12 was “just a desperate attempt to divert attention from the complex crime that was committed by violating the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran with a missile that targeted one of its official headquarters.”

Israeli Channel 12 published an investigation entitled “Mossad in the heart of Tehran… This is how Israel killed Ismail Haniyeh in the most protected compound,” and indicated that Israeli military censorship allowed the publication of new information regarding the assassination that took place on July 31.

The details of the investigation stated that Haniyeh was observed going to the same location in Tehran several times, staying in the same room, and his daily routine was known, and that the Mossad assassinated him using a bomb placed in his room so that it would not kill anyone but him.

The investigation described the Haniyeh assassination as one of the most dangerous and sensitive in the history of intelligence.
