The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said on Wednesday that what was revealed by the American website “ProPublica” about Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s intention, with the complicity of President Joe Biden, to conceal the truth about the starvation of Palestinians in Gaza, and to obstruct the entry of aid to Gaza before Congress for fear that this would affect arms imports for the Israeli army, is new confirmation of the complicity of this American administration, Blinken and Biden personally in what it described as the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people.

The movement added, in a statement, that what it described as Blinken’s criminal behavior requires the honorable people in Congress and the American judicial bodies to investigate what he did, as it caused the killing of thousands of Gazans, whether by direct killing with American weapons or through complicity with starvation policies, in violation of the minimum rules of international humanitarian law.

Hamas called on international judicial institutions, primarily the International Criminal Court, to take legal action against the US Secretary of State, considering him a participant in the deliberate starvation and genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The American website ProPublica published a lengthy report in which it said that the US Agency for International Development and the US State Department’s Office of Refugees presented Blinken and other officials with an assessment last April stating that Israel was obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The report indicated that US law requires the government to stop arms shipments to countries that obstruct the delivery of US-supported humanitarian aid.

The American website explained that Blinken and Biden did not accept the conclusion reached by the US Agency for International Development and the State Department’s Office of Refugees.

The report said that Secretary of State Antony Blinken gave a speech to Congress in May, in which he stated that he did not consider Israel to be preventing or restricting the transfer of American humanitarian aid to Gaza, noting that USAID had previously sent a memo to the Secretary of State, which included Israel’s obstruction of aid by killing aid workers, bombing ambulances and hospitals, bulldozing agricultural land, and not allowing the distribution of aid accumulated in warehouses.
