Hamas: Amnesty International’s report is a message to stop the genocide in Gaza news

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that the Amnesty International report that accused Israel of committing genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is a message to the international community and the United Nations of the need to take action to stop the genocide that has been going on for more than a year.

The movement stressed – in a statement – the need to “overcome the state of shameful helplessness that allowed this rogue entity to commit its unprecedented crimes in modern history against our Palestinian people in Gaza.”

She added, “The report’s reference to the involvement of the United States and other countries in the genocide in Gaza is confirmation of their actual participation, and calls for an immediate review of their biased policies toward Israel, which violate international laws and humanitarian norms.”

Hamas called on these countries to “stop supplying the Israeli army with weapons that kill innocent civilian women and children.”

The movement also called on international judicial institutions, especially the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, to “accelerate measures to protect civilians, stop the genocide, and hold the occupation leaders accountable for their crimes against humanity.”

Earlier Thursday, Amnesty International said that it has ample evidence proving that Israel has committed and is still committing genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip.

She added that Israel committed acts to destroy the Palestinians prohibited by the Genocide Convention, and treats them as if they were a sub-human group who did not deserve human rights or dignity.

Stop weapons

Amnesty International stressed that “the countries that supply Israel with weapons – including the United States and Germany – must realize that they are violating their obligation to prevent genocide.” She called on these countries to take action to end the atrocities against the Palestinians.

The organization’s Secretary-General, Agnès Callamard, called on the international community to take immediate action and put pressure on Israel to stop the genocide in Gaza, saying: “Our damning results must serve as a wake-up call to the international community: This is genocide, and it must stop now.”

With absolute American support, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 150,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing persons, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in One of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Tel Aviv continues its massacres, ignoring two arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court, last November 21, against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Palestinians in Gaza.

It also defies the UN Security Council resolution to end the war immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Israel turned Gaza into the largest prison in the world. It has been besieging it for the 18th year, and the war of extermination forced about two million of its citizens, numbering about 2.2 million Palestinians, to flee in tragic conditions, with a deliberate severe scarcity of food, water, and medicine.
