Israeli media reported that hackers were able to penetrate Israeli sports websites and display a picture of Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
The Israeli Channel 14 confirmed that the hackers hacked several Israeli sports websites and placed on the pages of those hacked sites a picture of Abu Ubaida and expressions against Israel and its war on the Gaza Strip.
The channel explained that what it called hackers from the Hamas movement hacked sports websites on the day Israel commemorates the one-year anniversary of the attack on October 7 last year.

The Hebrew sources added that the hack included several sports websites, including the official website of the Maccabi Tel Aviv team and the basketball, handball and swimming federations, and also included writing phrases including “Gaza forever, the war has begun… get ready.”
In a video speech broadcast by Tel Aviv Tribune, which he delivered yesterday, Monday, on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli occupation, Abu Ubaida called for “the largest cyber attack against the enemy by electronic warfare experts.”
