United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, on Friday evening, that the “disaster” that befell the Gaza Strip represents a “total collapse of our common humanity” amid the continuation of the Israeli war of annihilation on the Strip for more than 14 months.
“The catastrophe in Gaza is nothing but a complete collapse of our common humanity,” Guterres said in a post on the X platform, adding that “the nightmare in Gaza must stop.”
The Secretary-General of the United Nations stressed that “we cannot continue to ignore what is happening” in the sector.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza, with American support, which has left more than 150,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst… Humanitarian disasters in the world.
Israel continues its massacres, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end them immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
