The agreement reached between EU member states has just been validated by MEPs.
Within two years, only labels validated by official certification bodies will be authorized on products.
The legislator’s idea is to protect the consumer from misleading labels ensuring that a product is “green” or “biodegradable” without any official validation of ecological performance.
