Google plans to abandon the Chromeos system, after an executive in Android announced the company’s intention to transfer it to become part of the upcoming Android 16, according to the Android Authoreity website.
Samir Samat, who is the head of the “Android” system in “Google”, explained that what the company is doing is not a merging of the two systems in order to generate a new system, but rather a transfer of the benefits of the “Chrome OS” system to become part of “Android 16”, according to the report.
Although Samat did not explain the intended specifically the transfer of the “Chrome OS” system to “Android 16”, this mostly means that the company abandoned the name “Chrome OS” and replaced it with the “Android 16” system in the mobile computers that depended on the previous system.
The move comes in conjunction with the offering of several improvements in “Android 16” that makes the system more suitable for tablets and laptops, as the new version gets support for large screens and the feature of multiple windows as well as improving applications of applications with large screens.
The “Android Ethorsi” report referred to an interview with Samat with the Tech Radar website, as Samat tried to inquire from the site editor about its use of the “MacBook” computer and the common applications he uses between his computer and mobile phone, which suggests that the company seeks to provide a new experience that may include laptop computers.
Samat also spoke in the interview about several future things and plans for the “Android” system, including enhancing the possibilities of allocation in the system, as well as following a new system in developing “Android” and launching new versions.
The new system for mobile phone companies allows access to modern “Android” versions in a way that coincides with the launch of their pioneering phones, so “Samsung” has managed to launch the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 with Android 16 before the Pixel devices.
