After Christmas, head to the zoo! Unsold fir trees are given to certain animals at the Berlin zoo, such as these pachyderms, who love them.

But depending on the species, reactions vary. Unlike elephants, some animals just like the smell, others use it as a distraction.

This practice was implemented by the zoo a few years ago, to the delight of the animals. The objective is to stimulate them by introducing different elements into their environment. But the initiative also aims to raise awareness of recycling and ecology.
