In Deir al-Balah, in southern Gaza, Palestinians face shortages of basic necessities.

The IDF asked residents in the north of the Palestinian enclave to leave their homes to get away from the fighting.

Water, food, medicine and clothing are running out.

Alia Al-Samoni, displaced from Gaza City: “Our lives are now very tragic. The intense cold is approaching. I brought with me summer clothes for my children. There are no clothes or anything for the children to wear, and when I go to the market to look and find nothing, even second-hand clothes are not available.”

Moneir Khweter, displaced from Gaza City: “The occupation forced us into forced displacement, and we left our homes and belongings. Today, we and our children live in nylon tents. We lived honorably in our homes, but today we feel humiliated, living on the streets. We collect old clothes to dress our children and protect them from the cold of winter. We don’t know what to do with this situation, how long it will last will last and how long will this siege continue?”

Israel’s war against Hamas has pushed about 80% of Gazans’ 2.4 million people onto the roads, according to the United Nations..
