In the United States, speaking freely about Israel’s war on Gaza often comes at a price.
For expressing their opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian situation, many Muslim and Arab Americans have paid a heavy price, including losing their jobs and having their college education suspended.
American universities are also cracking down on student activism.
Since Israel’s war on Gaza began on October 7, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has received twice as many reports of bias and requests for assistance, according to its executive director, Nihad Awad.
Speaking to host Steve Clemons, Awad warns that as the Israeli narrative continues to “collapse,” there will be further attempts to dehumanize the Palestinian people.
