The Israeli army has completely withdrew from the Netzarim corridor, which separates southern northern from the Gaza Strip, as part of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

At the start of the truce, Israel had already started to authorize the displaced Gazaouis to cross the Netzarim corridor to go to the north of the war enclave.

This withdrawal comes the day after a new exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners.

The two parties, however, seem to have made little progress in the negotiations on the second phase of the agreement, which aims to extend the truce and lead to the release of all the still alive hostages held by Hamas in exchange for a Complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

But Israel said that he would not accept a complete withdrawal from Gaza as long as Hamas’ military and political capacities are not eliminated. Hamas told him that he would not deliver the last hostages until Israel would have withdrawn all of his troops from the territory.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a delegation to Qatar, a key mediator in talks. He must also convene a meeting with the main ministers of his government this week about the second phase of the agreement.

Tensions in occupied West Bank

Sunday, the occupied West Bank health authorities announced that a 23 -year -old Palestinian, eight -month pregnant, was fatally affected by Israeli fire in the Nur Shams urban refugee camp in the north of the territory, where the Israeli troops are carrying out a vast operation. Her husband would have been seriously injured by shots.

The Israeli army has not yet commented on this information. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced the extension of the Israeli military operation on Sunday that started in the city of Jenine several weeks ago. He claims that the operation aims to prevent Iran from establishing itself in the occupied West Bank.
