The government media office in the Gaza Strip said that the Palestinians in the Strip have reached a catastrophic stage of hunger and worsening suffering in light of the Israeli war of annihilation that has been ongoing for more than a year.
The office added in a statement, “Our Palestinian people have reached a crisis stage on the humanitarian level, as crises continue to occur without solutions,” stressing that the situation is approaching catastrophe more than ever before.
He said that, for 420 days, the occupation army continues its policy of starvation against our people, especially children and women, and closes all crossings and outlets into Gaza.
He expressed his surprise at what he described as the failure of international organizations that have become “aligned with the occupation policies against civilians and vulnerable groups in Gaza,” noting the death of 4 people who were waiting at the doors of bakeries to get bread to feed their families, due to the stampede resulting from severe hunger.
An invitation to distribute flour
The government media called on the World Food Organization to bear its direct responsibilities for the field disasters that occur as a result of its policies in managing its work in Gaza. It also called on it to distribute flour to the people of Gaza in order to end the current food crisis and stop the disaster of overcrowding at the doors of bakeries.
He warned against identifying with the Israeli occupation policies of systematic starvation, tightening the siege, or corrupting the work of institutions.
The government media called on the Arab and Islamic countries to take a clear stance regarding the humanitarian crises to which the residents of the Gaza Strip are exposed. It also called on the international community and international and international organizations to stand up to their historical, moral, administrative and legal responsibilities and work to stop the crime of genocide.
Bakery stops
The United Nations World Food Program announced yesterday, Friday, that all bakeries in the central Gaza Strip were closed due to a lack of supplies as a result of the Israeli genocide that has been ongoing for more than a year.
On Wednesday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that hunger in the Gaza Strip has reached critical levels, as people search for leftover food in weeks-old garbage.
The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are suffering from a systematic policy of starvation due to the scarcity of food supplies due to Israel’s obstruction of the entry of humanitarian aid, according to many UN and international institutions.
In vain, the international community demands that Israel facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid to prevent a large-scale famine, with about two million displaced people.
As a result of Israeli restrictions on the entry of aid, famine spread throughout all areas of the Gaza Strip, as the displaced reduced their diets and often relied on spoiled flour that was usually converted into animal food.
Every day, at most 30 aid trucks enter the Gaza Strip. These quantities are very scarce and are a drop in the bucket of the needs of the Palestinians and the displaced, according to previous statements by Enas Hamdan, the media officer for UNRWA.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 149,000 Palestinians martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst disasters. Humanity in the world.
