From “Wala’at” to “Abu Ubaida”… What is the effect of the resistance clips on the souls of Gazans? | Policy

Gaza- For the third month in a row, the Israeli occupation army used fire with high intensity, leaving a trail of blood and destruction throughout the small geographical area of the Gaza Strip, but it did not succeed in creating the rift that Israel wanted between the Palestinian resistance and its popular incubator.

Despite the pain of loss and the suffering of homelessness and displacement, Gazans express their confidence in the resistance, and proudly follow its performance in the field, through short video clips, showing the valor of the resistance fighters of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” and the Al-Quds Brigades, the military arm of the Islamic Jihad Movement, in confronting the army. Armed with advanced weapons, during its land incursion into the cities and camps of the Gaza Strip.

These clips, as well as the rare appearance of the spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, reinforce the steadfastness of the Gazans, whose homes are hardly devoid of one or more martyrs, while hundreds of thousands of homes have turned into graves for their owners, as a result of Israeli air strikes that have turned them into piles of rubble.

Thanks for the resistance

Despite his young age and the suffering he and his family suffered after they were forced to flee from their home in the city of Khan Yunis to the neighboring city of Rafah, the far south of the Gaza Strip on the border with Egypt, the child Anan Al-Astal shows great awareness of the role of the resistance in preserving the dignity of the Palestinian people and defending their rights and sanctities.

Anan and his family are currently staying with relatives in the city of Rafah, which is estimated to receive approximately 700,000 displaced people, the majority of whom reside in shelters in schools, and in tents they set up west of the city.

Annan’s position on the resistance does not differ from that of Nahid Al-Attar, despite the age difference between them. Words did not help her to express her great respect for the resistance, as she expressed condescension to the suffering of her and her family in fleeing their home in the northern Gaza Strip, to the city of Rafah, and called for success for the resistance.

Al-Attar, who lives with her family in a modest tent west of the city of Rafah, does not know anything about the fate of her home in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, which the occupation army is penetrating by land with its tanks and vehicles, and has been extensively destroyed by air strikes and artillery shelling.

As for citizen Nizam Abu Luli, he expressed his feeling of “pride and honor” at the performance of the resistance fighters in the field, and their courage in confronting the tanks and vehicles of the occupation, “in defense of the Palestinian people, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the prisoners in the occupation prisons.”

The wounds that Abu Luli sustained as a result of an air strike that targeted a house next to his house in the city of Khan Yunis did not weaken his determination and belief in the resistance, despite his forced displacement, as he currently resides in the Martyr Muhammad Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital in the city of Rafah.

“I fell in love”

The word “fond”, which was repeated by a Palestinian resistance figure who appeared in a video clip jumping for joy after he succeeded in destroying an Israeli vehicle, has become associated with Gazans in expressing their joy at the scenes broadcast by the resistance of operations to confront and confront the occupation army in the areas of its ground incursion into the south and north of the Gaza Strip.

In the streets, homes, and shelter centers, Gazans’ shouts of this word rise with takbir and applause, as they watch the resistance’s missile volleys launching from the Gaza Strip toward Israeli towns, or whenever news comes of the resistance’s success in ambushing the occupation army on the front lines of the incursion.

Many were reluctant to appear in front of the camera to express their positions in support of the resistance, for fear of being targeted by the occupation army, which “wages a war without taboos and destroys residential homes over the heads of their residents,” as they described it. However, they stress that the occupation will not succeed in its efforts to sow discord among the people. And resist it.
