People around the world have come together in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, condemning the high number of civilian casualties in Israeli attacks and calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Protests took place in major cities on Wednesday, including New York, Cape Town, Damascus, Rome, Karachi and elsewhere.
Calls for a ceasefire to protect civilians in Gaza have been growing for more than a month after the start of the war, which began when Hamas fighters attacked Israel on October 7.
Israeli attacks continue to hit already destroyed parts of the Gaza Strip, particularly Gaza City and its densely populated Shujaiya neighborhood.
Continued Israeli attacks on Gaza have led to widespread massacres among the civilian population, displacement and an immense humanitarian crisis.
