The UN Special Rapporteur discusses the pressure to cancel its role, threats of arrest in Germany and an ongoing Gaza disaster.
Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory, speaks in Tel Aviv Tribune after its controversial renewal. She discusses German arrest threats and canceled university events. Albanese also argues that the actions of Israel in Gaza, including the aid blockade and the rejection of the United Nations surveillance, violates the Charter of the United Nations. Although it was labeled “anti -Semitic” and accused of having supported “terrorism”, it denies all the allegations and says that the real problem is the suppression of critical voices.
