Caroline de Camaret, editor-in-chief Europe at France 24, and ENTR, a 100% social network offering for young Europeans, were awarded Friday at the 20th edition of the European Initiative Prize.

The 20e edition of the European Initiative Prize, organized by the Maison de l’Europe in Paris and the European Press Club, rewarded Caroline de Camaret, editor-in-chief Europe at France 24, and ENTR, the 100% network offer social programs aimed at young Europeans developed by France Médias Monde and Deutsche Welle, represented by Ségolène Allemandou, editor-in-chief.
A few months before the European elections, these Awards highlight the involvement and expertise of the France Médias Monde teams in their treatment of European questions and issues, particularly among young people.
The prizes were presented on Friday December 15 at Paris City Hall by Michel Derdevet, president of the Maison de l’Europe in Paris, and Albert Toscano, president of the European Press Club, during a ceremony attended by by Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

Caroline de Camaret, editor-in-chief Europe at France 24, notably presents the debate and interview program “Ici l’Europe” broadcast on France 24 and RFI every week, and “Europe in all its states” broadcast every month on France 24.
This 100% digital offer dedicated to young Europeans, in eight languages (French, German, English, Bulgarian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian), developed since 2021 by France Médias Monde and Deutsche Welle in partnership with around ten media and civil society organizations in Europe, offer content broadcast on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), on all themes that arouse the interest of young people and make them react. ENTR had more than 100 million views between January and October 2023.
The European Initiative Prize has been awarded each year, since 2004, to journalists or media outlets which stand out for the quality of their information in favor of Europe.
The France Médias Monde channels offer every week to the 500 million citizens of the continent and the rest of the world, in 21 languages and on all media, newspapers and dozens of broadcasts, chronicles, digital formats to decipher, explain, illustrate Europe and debate with those who make it in Brussels and Strasbourg, but also with those who live it on a daily basis.
Thanks to a solid network of correspondents around the world, and particularly in Europe, and journalists specializing in European issues, RFI, France 24 and MCD deliver information as close as possible to the field, to European institutions as well as in the Member States. European themes, particularly on the eve of the 2024 elections, are at the heart of news and newspaper editions on television and radio as well as digitally.
