Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zekensky met his French counterpart in Paris this Friday. The two heads of state signed a bilateral security cooperation agreement. As part of this agreement, Paris undertakes to pay three billion euros in additional military aid to Ukraine in 2024.

I would like to reiterate that France will continue to support Ukraine over the long term. This is the objective of the ten-year agreement that we signed, and which will remain valid until Ukraine joins NATO.“insisted the President of the Republic.

Volodymyr Zelensky thanked France for its support. He believes that it is “a response to the pressure that Putin is exerting” on Ukrainian forces.

Kyiv signed a similar agreement with Berlin earlier.
