US General Mark Kimmitt said Israeli talk of annihilating Gaza “sounds good on television” but is impractical and illegal.
By imitating U.S. tactics during World War II in Germany and Japan, Israel made a grave mistake in its war on Gaza, according to retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt.
Kimmitt told host Steve Clemons that Israel’s tactics – firebombing and “starting over” – have made it unwelcome among the people of the region.
Despite Israel’s assassination of a top Hamas commander in Lebanon and disruption of shipping routes in the Red Sea, the United States is less concerned about regional instability than it was in October. The situation “has not reached the American red lines,” he said.
