As Israel’s war on Gaza enters its fifth month, more than 27,500 people have been killed and 85 percent of the total population has been displaced within the country. The war has also stoked regional tensions and threatened stability in the Middle East.

Efforts to end the war have been in vain, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently rejecting an offer of a truce, saying there would be no end to the war until Israel wins .
