For Israel, the ceasefire is a continuation of the war by other means | Israeli-Palestine conflict

It was a 19th century, the famous general strategist and Prussian military strategist Carl Von Clausewitz wrote that “war is the continuation of politics by other means”.

Two hundred years later, Israel has put a new turn on the sentence with its current ceasefire-which is not in the Gaza Strip. If he was alive today, Von Clausewitz could very well detect the opportunity to observe that, in the case of Israel, “the ceasefire is a continuation of the war by other means”.

Indeed, the composer of Israel in the aftermath of the truce which began in January demonstrated a profound lack of interest in actually ceasing hostilities. Not only Israel continues to regularly kill the Palestinians, which brings the official number of deaths closer to 50,000; But he also refused to abandon the occupation of the Philadelphi corridor on the border between Gaza and Egypt.

The first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza ended on Saturday, but the Israeli government predictable the negotiation of the second phase. In the opinion of Israel, after all, agreements are concluded to be broken – which will explain why the so much promised solution has never materialized, and why Israel periodically feels the need to lead massacres of Palestinians whenever things seem a little too peaceful.

In the last obscene demonstration of the ceasefire as a continuation of the war, the Israeli army blocked all the deliveries of humanitarian aid on the Gaza Strip on Sunday-in what was equivalent to a simple admission that Israel would use famine as a bargaining currency.

Of course, it is not surprising that the army which only made famine as a genocide army in Gaza has once again chosen to impose forced hunger as a continuation of the war.

What should be surprising in any remote moral world is the extent to which Israel has managed to normalize total depravity, all with the faithful Bipartisan support of the United States. In addition to donating billions and billions of dollars to the Israeli war effort, the United States would also have coordinated with Israel the recent blockage of aid – as if the global superpower was not already up to its ears in the complicity of the genocide and crimes against humanity.

After the announcement of Israel’s famine, the White House tripped in itself to blame the aid on Hamas, the spokesman for the National Security Council Brian Hughes declaring: “Israel has negotiated in good faith since the start of this administration to ensure the release of the hostages held by Hamas terrorists. We will support their decision on the next steps, since Hamas had indicated that it was no longer interested in a negotiated ceasefire. »»

The European Union, for its part, published a statement condemning Hamas and also suggesting that the Palestinian group is responsible for Israel’s decision to block aid, which could “lead to humanitarian consequences”.

You don’t say.

The announcement of the renewed famine of Gaza received a rather disappointing reception in the Western media, which preferred to launch the obvious distinction of the move as a war crime as a simple allegation by Hamas, Israel is engaged in “cheap blackmail” and a “war crime”, of the quotes included.

As always, Western officials and the media are on foot to replace the facts with fantasy and rewrite contemporary history. All glance at real and not reduced data reveals that Hamas is interested in a cease-fire negotiated forever, while Israel is not interested in negotiations or a cessation of mass slaughter.

Admittedly, the western dull response to the pure and simple famine program of Israel simply underlines how Israeli crimes were made banal via their continuous repetition. It is a dark day indeed when forced famine – previously used as a weapon of war by none other than the Nazis – hardly causes a bat of the Western eye. In the Clausewitzian jargon, it is simply a continuation of politics as usual.

In the end, however, the war for Israel is not only a continuation of politics by other means. War is life itself.

Without war, the Israeli company would cease to operate, based on the very concepts of genocide and ethnic cleaning which are now carried out not only in the Gaza Strip, but also in the West Bank, where more than 40,000 Palestinians were disorderly throughout their home.

As the ceasefire in Gaza advances – or does not do it – Israel is engaged in an act typical of moving the goal posts, because it has done several times in Palestine and Lebanon. According to the Israeli approach, any cease-fire agreement comes down to everything that Israel says that it does at a given moment-and it is on the other side of conforming or.

Now Israel takes advantage of the current “ceasefire” to continue the genocide by other means. War is an Israeli policy-and no ceases will never change this.
