A recent scientific study, prepared by researchers from the universities of “Harvard”, “Tats” and “Toronto”, indicated that regular coffee may contribute to the progress of women in an elderly in a more healthy way, while consuming cola drinks may lead to completely opposite results.

The results of the study were presented within the activities of the annual Nutrition Conference “Neitrichin 2025”, which was held in the city of Orlando between May 31 and June 3, where the researchers showed that they had monitored a moderate and positive connection between consolidating coffee regularly in middle age and aging in women.

The research team confirmed that these benefits do not include all drinks that contain caffeine; The follow -up results indicated that the consumption of larger quantities of cola drinks was linked to a noticeable decrease in the possibility of age in good health, after analyzing the data of about 50 thousand women, their caffeine consumption patterns were tracked over a period of 30 years.

The researchers pointed out that the morning cup of coffee is not only stimulating the body, but also seems to contribute to preserving mental capabilities, fitness, and mental health with age. However, they pointed out that these benefits were not observed with the consumption of caffeine tea or coffee, indicating that the caffeine in coffee specifically may have a special effect.

Researcher Sarah Mahdawi, who represents both TH Chan College for Public Health at Harvard University and the University of Toronto, said, “It seems that coffee uniquely supports some biological paths associated with aging, which maintains mental and physical performance.” But at the same time, it warned of an exaggeration in estimating the impact of coffee alone, stressing that “the benefits remain limited if they are not associated with adopting an integrated healthy lifestyle.”

The researchers used specialized scientific questionnaires to monitor and evaluate caffeine consumption, which included a variety of drinks, such as all kinds of coffee, tea, and cola drinks, including caffeine coffee. The results were statistically treated after being seized for a group of influencing factors such as age, body mass index, level of physical activity, education, smoking, alcohol consumption, and other food nutrients.

This study comes as part of a series of research published in 2023 and 2024, and it had shown that eating espresso coffee may reduce the risk of cognitive deterioration, while moderate coffee consumption in general may contribute to reducing the risk of strokes and diabetes.
