“Fools Gold” exposes the secret of hidden sulfur in the depths of the universe sciences

|

For the first time, astronomers were able to track the effects of sulfur spread in space between the stars, not only in its invasive state but also as a solid material.

This detection comes thanks to metal compounds, one of which is known on the ground as “the gold of the fools”, which is the common name of the “Pyrite” metal that resembles gold in its appearance, and then it can be deceived by non -specialists because it has no value like gold.

This complex discovery in the distant space is similar to a X -ray examination on Earth, just as doctors depend on the difference in absorbing bones and tissues to form a clear picture of what is inside the body, an international team of astronomers – annexes – annexed researchers from Japan, America and the European Union – a similar technique, but on a cosmic scale, as they took advantage of the X -ray light coming from a distant star as a source, and a cloud of global dust As a “body subject to examination”.

Some stars (especially the bilateral stars that revolve around each other or very active) export strong X -rays on their own due to the violent reactions in which they occur, and scientists search for a bright star that produces these rays, provided that it falls behind a gas cloud in space, and guided to a bright double star called “GX 340+0” that is more than 35 thousand light years away from us.

The region is distinguished by this star as it contains a cloud of gas and dust that is not very intense (so that it does not obscure all light) nor very light (so that it does not allow the light to pass as it is without change) and the goal is for X -rays partially to pass through this cloud, so that they interact with what is inside.

To monitor the passage of X-rays from the star across the cloud, the research team used the Japanese X-ray Observatory “Excel” in space to capture these rays after crossing them, and analyzed the changes that occurred to the X-rays as a result of their passage in the cloud, using a tool in the telescope known as the “X-ray” RI-Zolf “and knew what was inside.

Exclusive Observatory surprises

The Japanese X -ray Observatory “Excel” is an advanced space mission launched by the Japanese Space Agency in cooperation with the NASA and European Space Curricanes in 2023 with the aim of studying the universe through X -rays, a type of high -energy radiation that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

The observatory is characterized by its unique tools, such as the “RI-Zolf”, which provides a high ability to measure the X-ray spectrum with exceptional accuracy, enabling scientists to determine the composition of materials in space, temperatures, and their movements with unprecedented precision.

The surprise-which was revealed by an analysis provided by the “Rey-Zolf”, and was announced in the journal “Buckingns of the Astronomical Society of Japan”-that it was not only in the presence of sulfur, but also to find his solid image that appears to be mixed with iron in the form of vehicles such as Payrite, Urotlet and Beerit, which are known compounds in the meteor the earth.

What is the importance of discovery?

The importance of this discovery is that sulfur is an essential element in the chemistry of life on Earth, and plays an important role in cell functions. But in space is more mysterious, as it easily changes from gas to solid and vice versa, which makes it difficult to follow. Here came the power of the “Excel” Observatory, as scientists saved the ability to see sulfur in its invasive and solid cases together.

Scientists confirm in a statement issued by “NASA” that understanding how sulfur is distributed among stars not only helps in drawing a map of space chemistry, but may also reveal the role of these elements in the formation of stars and planets, and perhaps in the emergence of life itself.

Thus, the “fools” – which deceived those looking for treasures on the ground – this time was the golden key to detecting one of the deepest secrets of the universe created by the Creator, glory be to Him.
