The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that its fighters were engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli army forces penetrating east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, and announced that those forces were being targeted with mortar shells.
Also in the Gaza City battles, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that it had targeted Israeli soldiers with a ground bomb east of the Zaytoun neighborhood.
In eastern Gaza City, the Al-Quds Brigades said they bombed the transmission towers at the Nahal Oz site with mortar shells.
The Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they had targeted an Israeli army headquarters in the “Netzarim” axis, south of Gaza City, with a “114 mm missile,” and the Al-Quds Brigades announced that they had bombed, with “107 missiles,” a command and control center belonging to the Israeli army on the supply line to the axis itself.
In the Rafah battles in the south of the Gaza Strip, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they had targeted two Israeli Merkava 4 tanks with two “Yassin 105” shells in the Shaboura camp.
Bombing an occupation gathering
In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades announced that they had bombarded with mortar a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers penetrating west of the Shaboura camp.
In the Shaboura camp, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces blew up a residential square in the camp located in the center of Rafah.
He added that the occupation forces re-stormed Al-Shaboura camp amid artillery shelling and air strikes.
He also pointed out that there were clashes between the resistance and the occupation forces penetrating the camp and other areas south of the Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Israeli army said that the forces of the 162nd Division continue to fight in Rafah.
He added in a statement that forces from the Givati Brigade eliminated during the past 24 hours what he called “armed cells.”
He reported that forces from the 401st Battalion killed a number of militants and found military equipment, noting that forces from the 99th Division are continuing their military operations in the center of the Strip.
The statement explained that Israeli Air Force fighter jets bombed an armed Hamas cell near a weapons storage warehouse, stressing that warplanes attacked more than 30 targets in various locations throughout the Strip.
Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left about 122,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing.
Israel continues its war on Gaza, despite two Security Council resolutions to immediately stop the fighting, and orders from the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of Rafah, take measures to prevent acts of genocide, and improve the dire humanitarian situation in the Strip.
