Fierce battles continued today, Friday, between the resistance factions and the occupation forces in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, while more than 17 Palestinians were martyred and dozens were injured in Israeli shelling of several areas of the Strip since dawn today.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent confirmed that civil defense teams are unable to reach the injured in the Shuja’iya neighborhood amid the continuing bombing, noting that Israeli artillery continues to bomb the neighborhood as the incursion continues for the second day.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – said that it blew up an Israeli military vehicle with a ground device and engaged in zero-distance clashes with the occupation forces, noting that it caused deaths and injuries among their ranks in Tallet Al-Muntar and its surroundings, east of the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza City.

The Israeli army claimed – today – that its forces raided the infrastructure of Palestinian militants as part of its military operation in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, which it began on Thursday.

The operation in Shuja’iyya, which the Israeli army launched without warning the neighborhood’s residents, is the third of its kind since the outbreak of the war on October 7, 2023.

Yesterday, the occupation army announced the death of a soldier from the 931st Battalion in the Nahal Brigade during the battles in the southern Gaza Strip, bringing the number of its dead since October 7 to 668 soldiers, in addition to about 3,900 wounded, while the resistance says that the occupation’s human losses are much greater than that.

The raids continue

This comes at a time when the Israeli occupation forces continue – today – to launch raids on several areas in the Gaza Strip, which led to the death of a number of Palestinians and the injury of others, while the Palestinian resistance factions are waging fierce battles with the occupation army in Shujaiya.

The coordinator of field hospitals in Gaza, Marwan Al-Hams, confirmed that more than 11 Palestinians were killed, while dozens were injured in the Strip during the last hours due to the Israeli bombing.

He pointed out that medical teams are providing their services with difficulty due to the continued closure of the Rafah crossing since May 7.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that displaced people were injured after their tents were exposed to Israeli army fire in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, amid the occupation’s targeting of their tents since the early morning hours.

Medical sources reported to Tel Aviv Tribune that 11 Palestinians were killed and more than 40 others were injured by occupation forces’ fire in the Al-Mawasi area, which shelters displaced people, west of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

In turn, Palestinian media confirmed that the occupation forces continue to besiege displaced families in the Al-Shakoush area, north of Al-Mawasi in Rafah.

Yesterday evening, the Israeli army began shelling and firing fire and bombs at the tents of the displaced in the Al-Mawasi area, after advances recorded by its vehicles in the Al-Shakoush area near the camp.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent confirmed the martyrdom of two young men in an Israeli drone strike near the Al-Shawka municipality, east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The occupation forces also targeted civil defense crews while they were at their workplace in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip last night, which led to the martyrdom of 3 civil defense personnel and the injury of others.

The ongoing Israeli war, since October 7, has resulted in more than 124,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing persons amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children.
