Following the controversies she has faced in recent weeks, the president of Harvard announced her resignation on Tuesday.
Appointed in July, Claudine Gay is accused of plagiarism on some of her academic work. But also for having made comments considered ambiguous on questions linked to anti-Semitism in the prestigious university.
Harvard’s first black president, Claudine Gay, declared in her resignation letter that she had suffered threats fueled by racism.
In December, two other presidents of American universities resigned, after accusations of anti-Semitism in their establishments.
