Violent clashes erupted before dawn on Wednesday between resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces during their storming of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported successive explosions and armed clashes as the occupation forces stormed the eastern part of Nablus.

Al-Aqsa TV channel said that violent clashes broke out between resistance fighters and the forces that penetrated Balata al-Balad and the vicinity of Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus.

Palestinian sources reported that resistance fighters detonated an explosive device in an Israeli vehicle during its incursion into the vicinity of Balata camp.

The Israeli army stormed the city of Nablus from the Awarta and Beit Furik checkpoints south and east of the city, and deployed large forces in the eastern region in preparation for settlers storming the “Joseph’s Tomb” area, amid the explosion of locally made explosive devices and the firing of live ammunition.

The invading forces were stationed in the Balata al-Balad area and the vicinity of the Balata and Askar camps east of the city.

Palestinian sources said that clashes took place in the Balata camp market, noting that Israeli snipers were arrested on the roofs of residential buildings around Amman Street and Joseph’s Tomb.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that a young man was shot by Israeli occupation forces during their raid on Balata camp.

Video clips showed settlers performing provocative dances and Talmudic prayers at Joseph’s Tomb.

Ramallah and Al-Bireh

In addition to Nablus, the occupation forces stormed the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh before dawn today.

Palestinian sources said that Israeli soldiers shot a young man at the Ni’lin checkpoint, west of Ramallah.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

This morning, Israeli forces stormed the Al-Fur camp, south of the city of Hebron, according to Al-Aqsa TV.

Also in Hebron, clashes broke out yesterday, Tuesday, between Palestinians and the occupation forces during their storming of Al-Arroub camp.

The raids before dawn today included the town of Zeita in the Tulkarm Governorate in the northern West Bank, and Palestinian sources said that the invading forces fired sound bombs in the town.

Yesterday, settlers attacked Palestinian agricultural lands in the village of Shaab al-Batam in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, and caused damage to them.
