Experts: Operation Al-Maghazi has an Israeli aftermath, and the occupation is heading for a strategic loss News

Experts in Palestinian and Israeli affairs confirmed that the shock that gripped Israel following the killing of 24 of its soldiers and officers in the Gaza Strip within 24 hours could be built on, suggesting that the Hebrew state is heading toward a strategic loss.

Professor of Political Science at An-Najah University in Palestine, Dr. Raed Nairat, said that this shock is likely to create a lot of societal pressure, especially among the families of the Israeli prisoners who are demanding the conclusion of an exchange deal. He pointed out that the occupation army realizes that it will drown in the mud of Gaza, as it entered the Gaza Strip with the aim of liberating the prisoners “to become a prisoner.” “He has resistance, and is unable to defend himself.”

He pointed out that there are two determinants that interact slowly and may bring about a change in Israel, which are Washington’s use of pressure cards against Tel Aviv, and Gaza’s steadfastness and resistance in the face of the Israeli war machine.

He pointed out that this shock came in light of three variables: the preparation of Israeli society that Israel was going to win in Gaza, the occurrence of the operation in an area close to the Gaza envelope, and the escalation of disagreements within society and the Israeli leadership regarding the losses and the next day of the war.

Regarding the possibility of the occupation taking more revenge in Gaza, Nairat explained that despite the logic of the assumption, the lust for revenge, systematic destruction and genocide is not linked to the nature of the operations, as the occupation army has adopted a policy of destruction since “October 7, 2023.”

He explained that there are no voices in Israel calling for a truce except when there is pressure on the army, stressing that the resistance has no choice but to stand firm and continue to inflict heavy losses on the occupation in order to break it and thwart its plans.

He pointed out that everyone has become convinced that the current war is the war of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and there is a succession of losses for the occupation as it goes deeper into Gaza, pointing out that the strategic changes that followed “October 7” will not return Tel Aviv to the square before the “Al-Aqsa Flood.” .

A contradiction between weakness and reality

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, confirmed that the shock of the Maghazi operation expresses the contradiction between weakness and reality, and will have a significant and profound impact on the Israeli army, society, and the course of the war.

He explained that Israel wants a war with losses from one side, but what happens is that its losses are greater than any previous war, and it is very sensitive to the issue of human losses and suffers from economic losses.

He pointed out that there is a prelude to a strategic loss for Israel in the region after the falsehood of the illusions sold to the countries imprinting on it as an invincible force became clear, despite its arrogance that it is continuing to fight in Gaza.

He stressed that the occupation leadership’s sense of failure is deepening, referring to the failure of “October 7” and the management of the war, anticipating the rise of voices demanding an alternative approach, as a priority for the release of prisoners.

Barghouti concluded that the outcome is to perpetuate Israeli failure, and Washington may intervene to save Tel Aviv and push it to confront reality and change the current course after its failure, and the Palestinians are convinced that Israel only understands the language of force.

He indicated that Washington is suffering from a strategic crisis as US President Joe Biden is trying to maintain the balance of his re-election for a second term and his insistence on continuing support for Israel, stressing that his goal was nothing more than passing normalization to liquidate the Palestinian issue and sell the illusion.

He stressed that the US administration’s repeated talk about the day after the war aims to divert attention from what is happening today and hide the suffering of the Palestinians, in addition to crude intervention by imposing someone to lead the Palestinian people.
