In this episode, Euronews interviews a citizen and a candidate. Linda Laura Sabbadini is the former director of the Italian National Institute of Statistics and current president of Women 20. She expects the next European Parliament to reduce the gaps between men and women. The next hemicycle “should prioritize the recognition of rape as a crime at European level, considering rape as sexual intercourse without the explicit consent of the woman“.

Eugenia Arsenis is a candidate in Greece on the list of the European Left. She counts “fight for a change of mentality in a Europe where the extreme right is on the rise, I want to fight for peace, for international relations, for respect for the rights of children and women, in a period where the murders of women shocked us“.
