The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor called on the United Nations to declare the northern Gaza Strip a disaster area, which requires immediate interventions, oblige Israel to stop the genocide there, and urgently direct life-saving emergency aid.

In a statement, the Observatory accused the Israeli occupation army of committing systematic and widespread mass and individual murders in northern Gaza, in addition to deliberate starvation, mass forced displacement and complete destruction of the necessities of life, while its forces cut off communications and the Internet.

A statement by the Observatory stressed that the international community’s deafness and failure to stop what is happening makes it a partner in the most brutal genocide.

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory said, “its field team is documenting horrific crimes against civilians in the Jabalia camp and the entire northern Gaza Strip, with the escalation of the Israeli attack, which reached its climax on Friday, October 18, when the occupation army bombed the homes of the (Al-Hawajri, Nassar, and Abu Al-Eish) families in “Tal al-Zaatar area” in Jabalia camp, which led to the death of 33 Palestinians and the injury of more than 70 others.

Euro-Med added that other Palestinians, the number of whom is not known, are still missing, and it is likely that they died under the rubble, bringing the number of victims killed since the beginning of the last attack on the northern Gaza Strip to 500 people, and dozens of them are still in the streets and under the rubble, in addition to thousands being injured.

He pointed out that the occupation forces bombed the residential square crowded with dozens of civilian residents with many missiles and destroyed it on their heads, without any justification other than killing the remaining residents and forcing those who survived to flee the camp by force.

Targeting hospitals

The report explained that at dawn on Saturday, October 19, the occupation forces surrounded the Indonesian hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, and targeted everyone who moved in its vicinity. Artillery fired two shells at it, cutting off its electricity, and its bulldozers also destroyed one of the hospital’s walls.

Israeli aircraft also bombed the yard of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, coinciding with the funeral ceremony for the victims of last night’s attack, which led to the death of two Palestinians and the injury of others. Hospital doctor Bilal Abdel-Al and a number of his family members were martyred after Israeli aircraft bombed their house in the Al-Alami neighborhood in Jabalia camp.

Euro-Med warned that the Israeli occupation army is systematically working to completely put the rest of the health system out of work there – which is already working partially – and target its crews, after it worked during the past days to target and destroy the remaining water wells and bomb the communications and Internet exchanges, which This led to it being cut off from the region.

Euro-Med confirmed that more than 400,000 Palestinians face the risk of being killed by bombing or starvation in the northern Gaza Valley, as Israeli forces have prevented the entry of any aid since the beginning of the month, while they have continued to invade the northern Gaza Strip since October 6.

Euro-Med highlighted that its field team documented hundreds of Israeli targets and bombing operations that destroyed homes, shelter centers and streets in northern Gaza, and have continued without stopping for 16 days, while many victims and injured remain in the streets or homes due to the impossibility of transporting them to hospitals, as Israeli forces impose a fire ban on… Movement of ambulances and civil defense crews in most parts of Jabalia and its camp.

The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor called on the United Nations and countries, individually and collectively, to intervene immediately to save hundreds of thousands of residents of northern Gaza, to stop the crime of genocide committed by Israel for the second year in a row, to impose a comprehensive arms embargo on it, to hold it accountable and punish it for all its crimes, and to take all effective measures to protect the Palestinian civilians there. .
