Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed on Saturday that victory will be for the Palestinian people despite the barbarism of Israel and its supporters. He also pledged that Turkey would continue to stand against the genocidal policy implemented by Israel in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
This came in a video message published by Erdogan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, in which he expressed his wishes for the Turkish and Islamic nations to enjoy more holidays blessed with health, peace and happiness.
He added, “I congratulate with all my heart the blessed Eid Al-Adha, especially my brothers and sisters in Gaza who are experiencing the holiday in light of the atrocities of the Israeli genocide.”
He stressed the continued stand against the genocidal policy implemented by Israel in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories since last October 7, adding that Turkey is among the countries that are making unremitting efforts to recognize the Palestinian state.
The Turkish President continued, “We defend truth, justice, and peace on every platform, and we do not hesitate to speak the truth despite the pressures of the Zionist network, and victory will be for the Palestinian people, God willing, despite the barbarism of Israel and its supporters.”
The devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has left more than 122,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
The Israeli occupation army continues this war, ignoring a Security Council resolution demanding that it stop the fighting immediately, and orders from the International Court of Justice demanding that it stop its attack on Rafah and take immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and “improve the humanitarian situation” in the Gaza Strip.
