Emir of Qatar discusses Gaza situation in Finland | News


The Qatari Emiri Diwan said that the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed – today, Thursday – with the Prime Minister of Finland, Petteri Orpo, the developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Amiri Diwan explained that the meeting – which was held at the Prime Minister’s Office in the capital, Helsinki – discussed the most prominent regional and international issues of common interest, especially the latest developments in Gaza.

At the end of his visit to Finland, the Emir of Qatar said – via his account on the X platform – that he discussed, during an extended session in Helsinki with both Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, ways to deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in a way that enhances “these relations and expands the horizons of fruitful cooperation.”

During the past two days, the Emir of Qatar held talks with senior officials in Sweden and Norway during his visit, which included the situation in Gaza and regional and international developments.
