The Palestinians of the Gaza Strip did not have much to celebrate because they marked Eid al-Fitr with food supplies by decreasing quickly and no end for the Israeli bombardment.

Many held prayers outside the demolished day mosques the day marking the end of the month of Ramadan fasting, while at least 20 Palestinians were killed on Sunday, most of them women and children.

The Muslim festival is supposed to be a joyful opportunity, when families come together for parties and buy new clothes for children – but most of the two million Gaza Palestinians are just trying to survive.

“It is the Eid of sadness,” said Adel Al-Shaer after attending outdoor prayers in the central city of Deir El-Balah. “We have lost our loved ones, our children, our lives and our future. We have lost our students, schools and institutions. We have lost everything. ”

Twenty members of his extended family were killed in Israeli attacks, including four young nephews just a few days ago, he said when he had made tears.

On March 18, Israel suddenly ended a two-month fragile ceasefire when he resumed his intense bombing campaign and his ground operations in Gaza. Israel has since killed hundreds of Palestinian civilians and has not allowed any food, fuel or humanitarian aid to enter for four weeks.

The Arab mediators are trying to put the truce on the right track, and Hamas said on Saturday that it had accepted a new proposal in Egypt and Qatar, whose exact details were not immediately known. Israel said he had advanced his own proposal in coordination with the United States, which has also mediated.

The Israel genocide in Gaza has killed more than 50,000 Palestinians, according to the Enclave Ministry of Health.
