“It is the Eid of sadness,” said Adel Al-Shaer after attending outdoor prayers in the central city of Deir El-Balah. “We have lost our loved ones, our children, our lives and our future. We have lost our students, schools and institutions. We have lost everything. ”
Twenty members of his extended family were killed in Israeli attacks, including four young nephews just a few days ago, he said when he had made tears.
