Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said on Sunday that the overthrow of the Benjamin Netanyahu government has become urgent, stressing the need to stop the war on Gaza.
Ehud Barak stressed that “nothing more urgent than renewing the struggle to drop the worst government in our history.”
He considered that ending the war in the Gaza Strip is very important.
This comes, while the “Times of Israel newspaper, an American official, revealed that Washington was planning to pressure the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs to end the Gaza war.
However, the Israeli government still categorically rejects the end of the war on Gaza, despite the recommendations of the occupation army of the importance of stopping the fighting and concluding a settlement deal with Hamas.
The newspaper “Yisrael Hume” quoted close to Netanyahu, as saying that “only a deal according to the Witkeov scheme can be returned to the battlefield.”
Hamas was not defeated
According to the newspaper, Netanyahu “did not give up the goals of the war, and ending the war is not on the table.”
“We refuse the army saying,” Gideon’s vehicles operation are nearing completion because Hamas has not yet been defeated. “
“The enthusiasm of prominent leaders and regular forces still has security operations,” Israeli government officials said.
On the Iranian issue, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said that if there is no progress in negotiations with Tehran, “we will find ourselves in a war of attrition.”
The former Prime Minister rejected the information that the American and Israeli strikes destroyed the Iranian nuclear program.
He stressed that Iran is still a “nuclear threshold state” despite the strikes it received.
“We should not be deceived by ourselves. We have not settled on the Iranian nuclear and missile threat,” Barak statements said.
